Course General Description

PAINTING is one of three areas of study in Fine Arts. World-class faculty, who are active professional artists, teach all classes. Students in Fine Arts study each of the core disciplines—Painting, Sculpture/New Genres, and Photography—before selecting one or more areas to pursue in depth. Painting students learn the basic principles, techniques and concepts of painting and drawing while developing their talent. Students learn to invent visual images of their ideas, passions and interests. Student artists in the program work on surfaces ranging from paper, canvas, panels, and walls among many other possibilities.
