Course General Description

You’ll come to CCAD with creative talent, an Instagram account with hundreds of photos and a point of view that’s all your own. In our Photography program, our studios will be your stage, set, playground and laboratory. Through our photography school, you’ll draw influence from energetic peers, the experienced faculty and a collaborative atmosphere. You'll use the best gear and the latest software. You'll learn about your aesthetic and how you can market yourself and your photography. You’ll leave this program well-versed in multiple photographic formats, a master of darkroom work and cutting-edge digital editing. You may go on to start your own studio, work full-time for a major publication or document the world in a completely different way.

CCAD teaches undergraduate and graduate students in the midst of a thriving artistic community in Columbus, Ohio. Founded in 1879, CCAD is one of the oldest private, nonprofit art and design colleges in the United States and, in 2019, the college is celebrating 140 years of creative excellence. CCAD offers 12 BFA programs and two master’s programs in art and design that produce graduates equipped to shape culture and business at the highest level.
