What you'll learn
This course will lead to the creation of a specialist Ceramics portfolio designed to allow students to progress to a Ceramics BA Degree. You will be supported through 8 units in 3 key stages; Exploratory stage, Pathway stage and Confirmatory stage. Int Exploratory stage you will develop a range of practical skills using a variety of media. These will be explored through themed projects. In addition to Ceramics your visual language education will be underpinned through a brief exploration of Painting, Textiles, Drawing, Printmaking, Sculpture and Digital art practice. You will develop knowledge, skills and understanding in historical and contemporary art practice. In the Pathway and Confirmatory stage you will specialise in Ceramics.
