In this 3 part course you'll learn the fundamentals of Animation and Storyboarding. We'll then get into using one of the top animation software, Toon Boom Harmony.

We'll start things off where we will teach you the essential concepts of Animation. We'll go over the basic concepts of animation and what makes things move and the features you'll find in almost every animation package. You'll learn about keyframes, animation paths, hierarchies, pivots, and rotation.

In part two of the course we'll get into Storyboarding. We'll go over the principles of storyboarding. We'll see how a story is constructed from acts and sequences. We'll see film grammar, how to position the camera to convey a character, and how to transition between shots using fades, wipes, and cuts.

In part 3 of the course we'll get into using the animation software, Toon Boom. Used by top studios all over the world, Harmony lets you work fast and animate in any style. Harmony has all the tools you need for traditional paperless, cut-out and hybrid animation productions. Learn how to navigate and use the program interface. You'll see how to create animations, simple ones at first, and later more complex character based actions.
