In this course you will be learning 3d modelling in Fusion 360. This course uses 2018 user interface of Fusion 360 which has been changed by Autodesk Fusion 360 in 2019 August. In case of any difficulty, please mail. We will be covering the concepts in part module except for form. This course is for beginners who want to learn 3d CAD design from scratch. I will be covering the basics like crosssections and parametric modeling. Most of the options are taught using the examples from the real world. This will give a clear idea on the application of tools. Exercises at the end of the model will be helpful in getting a grip about the subject. Please go through the lectures given below for better understanding the scope of this course.

This course is not for experienced CAD designers who already know software like Solid Works, Creo and CATIA. The parts created have never been 3d printed.

Who this course is for:
  • Beginner 3D CAD modelling enthusiasts, Students from mechanical engineering stream, professionals looking into enter CAD field, Young invetors looking to learn designing to create their own models

A Sirisha

Mechanical Engineer with experience in teaching CAD Software

I hold a Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering and Masters in production Engineering. I have taught softwares like Pro-e, Catia and Autodesk.Inventor to Engineering and diploma students and a few times to professionals who were more on shopfloor. Autodesk Fusion 360 is my new passion.

Things around me always intrigued me. To know how a thing works has been my passion since childhood. This attracted me towards CAD. It is this platform where you can bring shape to your imagination. Though I changed my career in between, I remained "Mech at Heart".

My goal is to make students learn CAD software to invent new things. Inventions need not be as big as a light bulb. I consider a safety pin, a hanger or a sharpner which everyone must have used in a their lifetime also as great inventions. Afterall their applications matter so much.

Making real world components using CAD rather than just industry components like turbines, pistons, bearings etc., has made me more interested in this field. When I learn a tool in the software, I quickly relate to a product around us which it can help in designing. For example, a rectangular pattern tool can help in designing a comb. a mirror tool can be used in making spectacles and so on.

I also like to see what my students can design using the tools they have learnt through this course. So when you take this course, please share your ideas with me.

Thank you.
