Amity University was founded in 2003 as a private research higher education institution based in the city of Noida in northern India. It is home to 35,000 students across nine campuses in several major cities, including Mumbai, Kolkata and Jaipur. Amity also has an international presence in the UK, China, Dubai and Singapore. As a young institution, Amity offers modern facilities, air-conditioned amphitheatre style classrooms and high-tech laboratories. It has separate accommodation available on campus for male and female students, as well as plentiful recreational and sporting facilities. Its various libraries house more than a million books, periodicals, national and international journals. Amity offers over 250 undergraduate programmes, including law, journalism and sciences, as well as a wide range of courses at postgraduate level.
