Course General Description

The MFA in art, offered by the School of Art, provides a stimulating and challenging program for artistic and intellectual growth. Faculty in the School of Art are distinguished artists and scholars who encourage innovation, critical practice and independence. This program provides students with unparalleled opportunities to develop conceptual approaches and technical expertise in a range of media including ceramics, drawing, fiber, intermedia, metals, painting, photography, printmaking and book arts, sculpture, and woods. Prospective students select an area of focus for their practice but may also develop interdisciplinary expertise in and beyond the School of Art.
