Course General Description

The Master of Visual Arts (Advanced) program invites you to further extend your creative practice as an artist or professional in the arts sector and can be your pathway to a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD). This highly flexible Coursework program gives you access to individual practice-led research courses, art history and theory, master classes, field studies and research projects. You can broaden your creative, technical and analytical skills under the supervision of our expert staff. As a Master of Visual Arts (Advanced) student at ANU, you are close to the nation’s premier cultural institutions with a thriving local art scene at the University’s doorstep

Requirements

An Australian year 12 qualification or international equivalent; OR
• A completed Associate Diploma, Associate Degree, AQF Diploma, Diploma, AQF Advanced Diploma, Graduate Certificate or international equivalent; OR
• At least one standard full-time year (1.0 FTE) in a single program of degree level study at an Australian higher education institution or international equivalent; OR
• An approved tertiary preparation course unless subsequent study is undertaken.
