Course General Description

Training at the Department complies with the educational standards and the qualification requirements set to the architects. Understanding, enhancing young authors' creativity, and assisting them with self-fulfillment in the field of architecture are the key elements of the Department's approach to training. The Department has constant creative, practical and research contacts with the leading design institutions and studios in Belarus. Many outstanding architects teach at the Department as invited lecturers. The Department's staff is permanently developing teaching methods emphasizing the development of the students' creative thinking. As a result, the graduates and professors design remarkable architectural design projects in the country and abroad. The Department trains future researchers as well. For a long time, the Department has been the regional platform for scientific approbation of dissertations in the field of architecture. More than 40 Doctors of Science and PhDs from Belarus, Ukraine, Lithuania, Latvia, China, Nigeria, Mali, Cuba, and Egypt have completed graduate studies there.
