Course General Description
CCS Fine Arts helps lead this transformation by modeling the way the art world works, where artists are no longer defined by — nor confined to — a single medium, material or way of working. Students explore a broad range of media relevant to the art world by learning traditional methods but also contemporary and experimental approaches to creative work. The Fine Arts department encompasses a full range of artistic mediums, from stone carving, bronze casting, sculpture, book arts and letterpress to painting, drawing, printmaking, digital and time-based media, site-specific installation and video/performance art. Every course also includes theoretical discourse, so students not only focus on craftsmanship, technique and process but also research and conceptually driven work. Weekly lectures from visiting artists, curators, critics and gallerists, as well as study abroad opportunities, provide global perspectives and emphasize the program’s interdisciplinary approach.Tuition Fees
