Course General Description

Product design isn’t just about products. It’s a way of thinking that enables designers to apply their knowledge and skills across a wide range of careers. At CCS, students acquire a deeper understanding of complex problems, critical-thinking skills, interdisciplinary approaches and cultural and economic changes in the world. Whether it’s athletic gear, housewares, office products or furniture, students learn to think beyond trends and styling. Product designers design experience and, as a result, improve and expand whatever they touch. It’s not about designing a new chair; it’s about creating new ways of seating.
