Course General Description

In CCAD's Fashion Design degree program, our real-world curriculum will teach you the hands-on, technical skills of design and construction so that you can make your style a reality. With a full palette of colors and fabrics, you’ll bring your individual vision to life in our naturally lit sewing labs. Your long hours and hard work throughout your fashion design courses will help your dreams become reality on the runway during CCAD’s annual Fashion Show. And, immersed in our diverse culture and in the progressive metropolitan city of Columbus (a fashion destination in its own right), you’ll build a unique story and connect with a community that can take your work to retail.

CCAD teaches undergraduate and graduate students in the midst of a thriving artistic community in Columbus, Ohio. Founded in 1879, CCAD is one of the oldest private, nonprofit art and design colleges in the United States and, in 2019, the college is celebrating 140 years of creative excellence. CCAD offers 12 BFA programs and two master’s programs in art and design that produce graduates equipped to shape culture and business at the highest level. CCAD fosters a community that educates diverse students so they can unleash their creative power to shape culture and commerce.
