Course General Description

The Masters of Film and Television provides the opportunity to become a media professional by developing your production skills within emerging media forms and opportunities. This two-year program offers a variety of entry points depending on your previous qualifications and experience. From first year you will be developing your capacity to undertake a range of media production and work towards completing a major folio project. This includes the development of the significant soft skills required for success in media industries such as teamwork and collaboration, problem-solving and a high level of personal organisation. Students will also gain knowledge and experience in how to present their folio and achievements, toward gaining employment.

School General Description

Deakin University is a public university in Victoria, Australia. Established in 1974 with the passage of the Deakin University Act 1974, the university was named after the second Prime Minister of Australia, Alfred Deakin. The Deakin University School of Law and the Deakin Business School both fall under the Faculty of Business and Law, and the Faculty of Science, Engineering and Built Environment encompasses architecture, information technology, engineering, and life and environmental sciences.
