Course General Description

This Program focuses on providing students with innovative spirit and creative method or expression of modern public art. It aims to train senior professionals who are capable of artistic creation for both public space and external environment. Specialized Knowledge And Ability Public Arts is a new major which intends to meet the need of the urbanization and sustainable development of China. It is an interdisciplinary subject incorporating environment space and art, the design target of which covers every field of public space surrounding us. Combining the subjects of art, design and architecture, the Program has developed an educational system that is art-oriented, fashion-focused and engineering-supported.

Donghua University ( Donghua means eastern China area in Chinese ) is a public research university in Shanghai, China. Established in 1951, DHU is one of the state-key universities directly under the Ministry of Education of China and is a member of China's Project 211 group of national universities. It is a Chinese Ministry of Education Double First Class Discipline University, and is especially well known for its engineering, management, design and materials disciplines. It has been a national key university since 1960 and was one of the educational institutions in China authorized to confer all three levels of degree: bachelor's, master's, and doctorate.
