Course General Description

The education targets are to train students with an in-depth understanding of apparel technology and management, and lay emphasis on apparel scientific concept and independent research; and with the provision of a academic environment for students to generate a range of research-oriented, decision-making skills that are required in the apparel and textile industry. Students will be taught to execute and manage in different fields as follows：textiles manufacturing technology; intelligent apparel manufacturing; CAD/CAM in textiles and clothing; sizing systems for clothing; apparel manufacturing knowledge base; apparel production technology and management; clothing comfort; clothing functional design, and apparel product development.

Donghua University ( Donghua means eastern China area in Chinese ) is a public research university in Shanghai, China. Established in 1951, DHU is one of the state-key universities directly under the Ministry of Education of China and is a member of China's Project 211 group of national universities. It is a Chinese Ministry of Education Double First Class Discipline University, and is especially well known for its engineering, management, design and materials disciplines. It has been a national key university since 1960 and was one of the educational institutions in China authorized to confer all three levels of degree: bachelor's, master's, and doctorate.
