School General Description

The university was founded in 1993 under the name of the Eastern Institute of Economics, Humanities, Management and Law (VEGU). According to the monitoring data of the Ministry of Education and Science of 2015, 6,700 students studied at the academy, of whom 393 were in full-time study programs. The Academy had a wide network of branches located in the Russian Federation and other countries, but as of 2016, only the head one in Ufa has a valid license for educational activities [6] . According to the results of an independent assessment of the quality of educational (NOCO) activities of universities, prepared with the support of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation, based on the openness and availability of information about the activities of educational institutions, the Eastern Economic and Legal Academy of Humanities was included in the List of the best universities in the Russian Federation in 2017.
