Course General Description
The Master of Arts Interior Design course is project-oriented, i.e. the focal point of the first and second semesters is the project concerning the planning theme (approx. 1/3 of the semester). The project of the relevant semester is accompanied by seminars addressing in theoretical fashion the scientific, creative and technical aspects regarding the plan (approx. 1/3 of the semester). The elective modules (1/3 of the course) enable the students to develop their own study profiles. The faculties of Hochschule Wismar offer a multifaceted and attractive range of technical, scientific and art subjects for this purpose. In the third semester the student chooses between spending a semester abroad at a partner university or working on a practical project. The purpose of the Master’s thesis is to enable the student to demonstrate his extensive knowledge with regard to the development and processing of interior design issues at a high scientific, technical and creative level.Disciplines

School General Description
The Hochschule Wismar, University of Applied Sciences: Technology, Business and Design (or short: University of Wismar), is the third-biggest and third-oldest public university in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Germany. The university is situated at the Baltic coast in the very north of Germany with its campus being only 500 metres (550 yards) away from the harbor. The university was founded in 1908 as an engineering academy and has become an important part in the city's cultural life. Since 2007 the university has been restructured and has now 3 faculties reflecting the three subjects in its name: technology, business and design: Faculty of Engineering (Mechanical, Process and Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electronics and Multimedia Engineering, Maritime Studies) Faculty of Business (Business Administration, Business Law, Business Informatics) also called Wismar Business School Faculty of Design (Design, Architecture, Interior Architecture, Communication Design) The university offers more than 50 courses, including distance learning courses via its subsidiary WINGS-university. Some courses in Maritime Studies are offered in cooperation with the European Cruise Academy. Most courses lead to a bachelor's degree after 3-3.5 years or a master's degree after another 1.5-2 years.
