Course General Description

Architectural Design students emerge from the program as nimble, compelling, and thoughtful creatives. They are skilled balancers, balancing the complexity of architecture as a language, and the sophistication required of an architectural designer. The program covers a trifecta of themes, including: spatial and formal, studied through materiality and dimension social and cultural studied through meaning and metaphor; and professional practice studied through research, outreach, and practice.

School General Description

Kazakh Leading Academy of Architecture and Civil Engineering is a top institution among the higher education institutions of the Republic of Kazakhstan in fields of Architecture, Design, Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Economics and Management in Construction. MISSION OF KazGASA is to provide the preparation of highly-qualified specialists, to give the opportunity to students to get education of all levels, to prepare highly intellectual broad-minded personalities who are able to to find their places in the society and in rapidly changing world. The most important achievement and visible proof of international significance for the academy was accreditation of the study program of Architecture at KazGASA by UNESCO UIA Charter for Architectural Education. The certificate was awarded on 9 November 2007 and received by the academy in May 2008. It is the first higher education institution in the world accredited on Architecture major by UNIESCO UIA commission.
