Course General Description
The Master of Fine Arts is a two-year programme offering more specialised artistic training through individual studio practice and courses in art and various related disciplines. During the first year students begin their advanced artistic work, with different types of teacher-led seminars and also a study trip. Just as on the Bachelor’s programme, students choose from a range of technical and theoretical courses, many of which are taught by internationally recognised artists. The academy also offers a variety of guest lectures and international collaborations.Tuition Fees
Students who are citizens of countries outside the European Union (EU), European Economic Area (EEA) and Switzerland are generally required to pay application and tuition fees of SEK 200 000 (23 000 Euro) per year.Disciplines

Requirements
Bachelor of Fine Arts or equivalent is required. Selection is according to artistic merit and is based on a portfolio, written statement of purpose and interview.Most of Lund University’s programmes require English Level 6 (unless otherwise stated under Entry requirements). This is the equivalent of an overall IELTS score of 6.5 or a TOEFL score of 90. There are several ways to prove your English language proficiency - check which proof is accepted at the University Admissions in Sweden website. All students must prove they meet English language requirements by the deadline, in order to be considered for admission.
Grants and Scholarships
International students who come to Malmö Art Academy to take a Master’s degree contribute new ideas, cross-boundary perspectives and an injection of creativity. The ‘global classroom’ also promotes collaborations and international networks. Non-European students can apply for the Lund University Global Scholarship Programme. Scholarships are available to cover 25 %, 50 %, 75 % or 100 % of the tuition fees. Please note that scholarships only cover tuition fees and not living costs.Course Notable Alumni
