Course General Description

Are you committed to telling a visual story that can share ideas, convey messages or interpret emotions? The Illustration major is dedicated to the ideal that an illustrator is first and foremost a knowledgeable and skilled artist/designer. You’ll be encouraged to develop a creative imagination and a personal style while promoting the exploration of historic and contemporary illustration processes and practices. Professional business practices and presentation skills are emphasized to prepare students for entering their careers.

Moore College of Art & Design is a private college focused on art and design and located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Its undergraduate programs are only available for female students; its other educational programs, including graduate programs, are coeducational. Moore now offers ten undergraduate programs including Art Education, Art History, Curatorial Studies, Fashion Design, Fine Arts with emphases in 2D and 3D, Graphic Design, Illustration, Animation & Game Arts, Interior Design, Photography & Digital Arts, and Liberal Arts, each leading to a Bachelor of Fine Arts(BFA).
