School General Description

The university was established in accordance with the order of the Supreme Council of the National Economy of the USSR No. 1381 of May 18, 1930 and the decree of the Central Executive Committee and the Council of People's Commissars of the USSR No. 40/237 of June 23, 1930. It was opened on the basis of the Civil Engineering Faculty of the Siberian Technological Institute (Tomsk). Sibstrin, who moved from Tomsk to Novosibirsk in 1933, became not only the first construction university in the city, but also the only scientific and educational center from the Urals to the Far East, training personnel for the country's construction sector.
