Course General Description

Digital Painting and Expanded Animation is a specialization of both the Integrated Media and Drawing & Painting Programs. For this Drawing & Painting specialization, you’ll focus on digital media and painting including traditional painting techniques, digital tablet painting and animation. In this program, you’ll take the core Drawing & Painting classes but also experiment with stop motion techniques, 3D animation and 2D visual effects for animation and painting. Beyond the technical skills, you’ll also learn to create your own ideas and artistic voice. You’ll start in first year with Drawing & Painting and art classes and then focus on painting, digital imaging and animation in later years.
