Course General Description
Photography is one of three areas of study in Fine Arts. Taught by a faculty of active professional artists, students in Fine Arts delve into each of the core disciplines—Painting, Sculpture/New Genres, and Photography—before selecting one area to pursue in depth. Focusing on a medium with a wide presence in popular culture, students in Photography gain technical and conceptual skills to analyze and make photographic works of art. Students learn analog and digital approaches to the medium, using digital and analog 35mm SLR cameras, medium- and large-format cameras, and scanners. Printing in traditional black-and-white, color, and digital forms is explored as well as mural prints, light-boxes and alternative processes, and a full set of skills in studio lighting and Photoshop.Tuition Fees
