Course General Description

The Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) program pairs demanding studio training with a creatively focused liberal arts education to meet each student’s specific interests. A four-year program, the PAFA BFA enhances artistic skill and personal expression with critical thinking using the full scope of the humanities. Taught by experts in academic disciplines, the in-house BFA combines outstanding training and mentoring in studio fine art with an education in liberal arts specifically tailored to the working artist. The experience cultivates artistic skills, intellect, and promotes exploration of each student’s creative calling.
