Course General Description
This course looks at the role of the UX/UI designer in creating the best experience and functionality of a product or service. UX/UI designers are becoming increasingly vital within the digital realm and are now employed across the creative industries to help maximise the user experience.Disciplines
This course explores the importance of designing for the end-user experience with intuitive user interfaces.Students will explore an understanding of what constitutes UX and UI design, as well as what makes an effective UX and UI design on websites and mobile applications.
They will learn about the four most important aspects of UX and UI design: usability, interaction design, visual design and information architecture, and how these components can be professionally identified, investigated, informed and interrogated.
Students will develop and create an individual portfolio of inspiring and resolved projects based on user-centred research and design experimentation. This will showcase both their creative and analytical skills and technical expertise.
