Course General Description
Millions of people interact with digital devices every day. This digital design degree lets you explore the many aspects of digital design, giving you the skills needed to create ingenious work. Our student-centered curriculum, skilled faculty, and up-to-date facilities prepare you for a dynamic career in this field. The new media design major is for students who are fascinated by visual design, user experience design, interactivity, motion graphics, and technology. Students learn the skills required to meet the demands of new media, web design, and mobile app marketplaces. RIT Grant - Award amount is determined annually based on information provided on the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid). RIT RCSD(Rochester City School District) Initiative - Awarded to qualified freshman who are graduates of the Rochester City School District who have both lived in the city and attended an approved high school within the RCSD for the last three years of high school. RIT Say Yes To Education Scholarship Program - In partnership with Say YES to Education, awarded to qualified participants in the Say Yes to Education program. Recipients receive award equal to full tuition through a combination of RIT scholarships and state and federal need-based grants Federal Pell Grant - Based on financial need for students who have not yet attained a bachelor’s degree. Federal Supplemental Opportunity Grant (SEOG) – For students who have not yet attained a bachelor’s degree that demonstrate exceptional financial need. Tuition Assistant Program (TAP) – For full-time students who are New York state residents and meet state income guidelines. The university was founded in 1829 and is the tenth largest private university in the country in terms of full-time students.
