School General Description

Founded in 1987 by Ilya Sergeevich Glazunov, People's Artist of the USSR . Ilya Glazunov began his active teaching career at the Moscow State Art Institute . Surikov , in which he headed the portrait workshop. The Academy is located in several buildings in the center of Moscow, in particular in the “Yushkov House” built by the architect V. Bazhenov in the 18th century, as well as in the famous “Writers' Cooperative House” in Kamergersky Lane . The Ural branch of the Russian Academy of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture of Ilya Glazunov, opened in Perm, was founded more than 15 years ago. Over the 20 years of the Academy's existence, such outstanding figures of modern art culture as professors Pyotr Litvinsky and Alexander Trofimov have worked within its walls .
