Course General Description

Dwelling demands architecture, design, art and communication. Responding to the challenge of creating spaces inhabited in a transdisciplinary and contemporary approach and promoting the ability to intervene qualified and sensitive to new ways of inhabiting, adapting the answer to the most diverse needs of users, are the intention of the Degree in Interior Design. The advanced training aims to stimulate dialogue between conceptual and practical dimensions. It privileges rehabilitation through an integrative reflection of the values of the past and the needs of the present.

School General Description

In 1989, a group of teachers created a school with a new vision of design which aimed to respond to the teaching gaps in this field and the needs of a changing industry. Today, with around five thousand students who have graduated, ESAD is a reference in design and the arts, in Portugal and worldwide.
