Course General Description

The Product Design course accompanies students in a multidisciplinary way, where the synergies between creativity, processes, functional, physical, aesthetic and communicative characteristics contribute to the definition of innovative products. The advanced training allows to deepen the specific knowledge needed to carefully and responsibly resolve the needs of the user and of society, guaranteeing abilities of design autonomy associated with the competences to collaborate with all the actors in the productive process.

School General Description

In 1989, a group of teachers created a school with a new vision of design which aimed to respond to the teaching gaps in this field and the needs of a changing industry. Today, with around five thousand students who have graduated, ESAD is a reference in design and the arts, in Portugal and worldwide.
