School General Description

Sevastopol State University (SevSU) is the largest higher educational institution in Sevastopol and one of the largest in Crimea . The main goal of the university is to carry out educational activities under the programs of higher education and scientific activities. SevSU conducts training of students at qualification levels: bachelor , specialist, master , and also prepares specialists of secondary vocational education . At the beginning of the 2018/2019 academic year, the number of students is 10.5 thousand people. In accordance with the concept of development of the university, by 2030 it is planned to double the number of admissions and increase the number of students to 19.5 thousand people. At the same time, the number of research workers will grow - from 70 in 2018 to 160 by 2030. The teaching staff consists of 47 doctors of sciences, professors, 233 associate professors, candidates of sciences. Rector - Sevastopol State University - Doctor of Political Sciences, Professor Vladimir Dmitrievich Nechaev. The strategic development program of SevSU was approved by the government of the Russian Federation and is financed from the federal budget. In its development, the university relies on the strategic program of Sevastopol, Crimea and on the National Technological Initiative of Russia.
