Course General Description

Spatial design is a synthetic art, which implies the integration of fine arts components in the architectural space so that they make part of the whole without losing their independent status. The Direction seeks to enable students produce designs, apply contemporary solutions in organising interior space, as well as select desired colour and forms. Environmental design is a form of creative activity that seeks to achieve aesthetic enhancement of the spatial environment. It unites engineering, technical, design, scientific and fine arts profiles and seeks to provide theoretical and practical knowledge that will allow prospective designers to respond to the modern requirements of environmental design taking into account visual, technical and aesthetic aspects.

School General Description

The mission of the TSAA is to contribute to the spread of universal values and promote artistic/creative and research activities in the fields of fine arts, design, media arts, architecture, restoration/conservation and art history and theory. The TSAA is guided by values that are based on the principles of academic freedom and envisage the preservation and development of national cultural traditions with a view to promoting public welfare and finding a respectful place on the international scene. Currently, five faculties operate at the academy, those of Visual Art; Architecture; Restoration, Art History and Theory; Design; Media Art. The Academy aims to contribute to the development of students' identity and interests and support research-based practices by drawing on traditional as well as modern research.
