Course General Description

Architectural Composition course focuses on methodology to analyse the critical analysis and the architectural creation. Its objectives are to stimulate the critical capacity by deepening the knowledge of the architecture of the 20 century, providing the students with transversal analysis tools and creative synthesis for the studies. Thus its structure can be divided into thematic units: the 1st looks into the compositional methods and architectural options and the 2nd one discovers diverse dimensions or parameters of the architecture: place, function, geometry, structure, shape, space, route, light and materiality. Each of them is analysed chronologically and transversally, influencing its evolution.
