Course General Description

Study of urban planning, population life quality enhancement, environmental management and addressing various urban issues, with an emphasis on the application of basic science and technology with art and culture, sociology and management science so that the creative process in architectural work is up-to-date and corresponds to the modern society. Graduates can pursue careers in Department of City Planning in Bangkok, Department of Public Works and Town & Country Planning, Ministry of Interior, Town Municipalities, City Municipalities, Subdistrict Municipalities, Provincial and Subdistrict Administrative Organizations, Expressway Authority of Thailand, National Housing Authority, Industrial Estate Authority, property development projects, consultancy firms in the capacities of, for instance, urban planning officers and environmental management consultants.

School General Description

Thammasat University, the second oldest university in Thailand, is one of the best known and respected institutions of higher learning in the country. Officially established on 27 June 1934, the university was originally named Thammasat Lae Karn Muang" or the "University of Moral Science and Politics". It started out as an open university with 7,094 students enrolled in its first academic year studying law and politics.
