School General Description

Ukhta State Technical University ( USTU ) is a higher educational institution located in Ukhta , Komi Republic . It is a basic university for the training of engineers for oil and gas companies, the full name is the Federal State Budgetary Educational Institution of Higher Education "Ukhta State Technical University" . It includes 6 institutes and more than thirty departments , a technological college , an elementary school and two branches: in Vorkuta and Usinsk . More than 8 thousand students study at the university. There are 50 professors , teachers and research workers at the institutes and various departments , including 53 doctors of sciences , 213 candidates of sciences and associate professors . The support and maintenance staff numbers approximately 1,500 people.
