Course General Description
This hands-on course covers the range of roles and skills required to facilitate contemporary theatre design for performance and events in a range of environments. As the course progresses you can specialise in the area that interests you most, such as set design, costume design and construction, digital theatre design or prop design and creation. You will work with lecturers and professional designers to understand the history of design and costume and appreciate cutting edge contemporary work in performance. You will support and facilitate performances in PFA, Drama and Performance Practice, Dance and events working in a range of theatres and site-specific venues. You will achieve real-world experience by working with theatre professionals providing work-based learning opportunities. Field trips to Edinburgh and New York give you opportunities to see productions and meet professional practitioners.Tuition Fees

The University of Gloucestershire is a public university based in Gloucestershire, England. It is located over three campuses, two in Cheltenham and one in Gloucester, namely Francis Close Hall, The Park, Oxstalls and The Centre for Art and Photography being near to Francis Close Hall.
