Course General Description

The relationship between man as a carrier and the jewellery is central to the education in. The incentive for the Bachelor Programme in Jewellery Art at HDK is about the desire to develop your expression both professionally and artistically. The programme is the only one of its kind in the Nordic countries. The programme mixes theory and practice and encourages you to independent, critical thinking and creativity. Initially, focus is on materials and technology, then you gradually will be guided towards an increasingly individual and complex work within the field. Some of the studies are designed as discussion seminars on subjects related to artistic creation and the role of professional jewellery artist.
