Course General Description

The undergraduate degree in Architecture and Urbanism, created in 1985, currently offers 45 full-time places for five years of study. With an innovative proposal, the course was designed to train professionals able to contribute to the social and economic development of the country, acting as designers, planners, managers and builders of buildings and cities. The course promotes reflection ob the architectural and urban environments in a period of intense social, cultural, technological, political and economic transformation. In this sense, the objective is to train the architect and urbanist who will be able to perform an efficient work, which implies facing the inequalities and socio-spatial contradictions present in its historical moment, articulating knowledge and mediating conflicts.
