Course General Description

By exploring design at a strategic level, MA Service Design offers the opportunity to work collaboratively with experts from different fields. You will learn service design research methods and processes, offering opportunities for user-centred and co-designed innovation. The course has a commitment to ethical practices of design, focussing on socially responsive design approaches applied to “wicked problems”, for example within healthcare, public services, local government, and policy environments. The course has a particular focus on start-up entrepreneurship, global future trends and addresses futures and emerging technologies critically.

School General Description

Central Saint Martins is a world-famous arts and design college and part of the University of the Arts London (UAL). The main campus is located in the award-winning Granary Building at the centre of London’s King’s Cross. The College’s alumni include notable artists and designers who have challenged and shaped the world around us (not to mention Turner Prize laureates and Academy Award winners, as well as a glut of Royal Designers for Industry and Royal Academicians).
