Course General Description

The creative industries need artists with high-level creative and technical skills, professional awareness and imagination. Studying drawing and print encourages you to nurture your unique vision, build a professional studio practice, and become a strong visual communicator. You'll explore the rich relationships between drawing, painting and printmaking, and graduate equipped to take your skills into many areas of the arts and creative industries. For artists who want to excel creatively and technically in the fine arts, BA(Hons) Drawing and Print offers a specialist 2D fine art degree. The course will give you the freedom to express your own unique voice. You'll learn in studios at Bower Ashton and Arnolfini from practising artists with international reputations. You'll enjoy access to our world-class print facilities - all part of our City Campus. This course pushes boundaries. Exploring relationships between drawing, painting and printmaking, you'll learn high-level skills, in both traditional and digital methods. Discover how the fine art world works, participate in exhibitions and test yourself outside the University. Gain valuable practical experience through placements, collaborations and group projects.
