Course General Description

This programme prepares you to become a versatile, dynamic practitioner. You choose the medium, issues and work form – editorial, critical or experimental – that you use to shape your visual communication. The programme places great emphasis on analysing the context and meaning of your own and other people's work. This means that practical and theoretical courses are combined in the programme wherever possible.

HKU distinguishes itself with higher education in the arts and media. We are a driving force in courses and innovation for the creative industries, and one of the largest art universities in Europe. HKU has nine schools with a total of 4400 students: Fine Art, Design, Music and Technology, Games and Interaction, Art and Economy, Media, Utrechts Conservatorium, Theatre and HKU College.
