About the video
Watch Me Design A Fashion Collection is my series in which I work on a design project as I narrate what I’m doing and why I’m doing it. They’re not straight up tutorials, but the teacher in me can’t help but add tips along the way!
In this edition of Watch Me Design, I take one of my design sketches and draw out a technical flat in Adobe Illustrator, getting ready to create a tech pack, which is the last step before garment construction. I discuss why we do flats, why we do flats the way we do, what hanger appeal is. I throw in some Illustrator tips as well.
