About the video

Thi episode features The Futur’s graphic designer, Min Hye Cho, who shares her step by step process to re-design the Energizer Battery packaging. Chris Do sits down with Min to review her design work and talk about her process.
Here’s Min’s process for this assignment:
Brainstorming prompts:
Before designing anything, Min finds an inspiring image and uses it to come up with words or prompts that will guide her designs.
The logo wordmark:
Using the prompts as a guide, she chooses a typeface and starts sketching shapes, icons, and images that come to mind. Going deep with exploration, trying lots of ideas. She then chooses the 3 best wordmarks, refines them and adds color.
The packaging:
She again goes into exploration mode and creates lots of different packaging designs. Exhausting many design options. Again, she narrows it down to the best ones and refines them into actual size mockups. At this point, she is done and ready to present her work to the boss or client.
